Hello friends! You may have started planning your wedding and have begun thinking about your ceremony, but still haven't decided on what time your should have it. I have seen a lot of ceremonies and have found three common mistakes that couples make. I wanted to share with you three important tips to avoid making these mistakes when picking your ceremony time. Let me know what time you decide to have your wedding ceremony in the comment section below. Can't wait!
Tip 1: Look at the sunset time (farmer's almanac) and plan for 1.5 hours before sunset.
You definitely want to start a couple of hours prior to sunset so your photographer can get amazing shots of your ceremony while it's still daylight, but also get pictures of you and your husband to be during sunset. I'm telling you sunset pictures are absolutely gorgeous, you won't regret it!
Tip 2: Be sure you have plenty of time to access the venue before your ceremony time so your vendors can setup.
This is very important because you definitely want your vendors to have plenty of time to set up the layout that you have months working on. You also don't want your vendors setting up while your ceremony is going on (especially if it's in the same place.) There's nothing pretty about having vendors walk back and forth as your ceremony is in full swing.
Tip 3: Be sure to avoid high traffic times if on a weekday.
Traffic is something that most couples don't think about when they decide on a ceremony time, but it's very important for the flow of the day and timeline. You want to ensure that the time that you choose doesn't come with a crazy amount of traffic and if you do make sure you account for that in your timeline (your planner will do this if you have one.)
