I'm Engaged! What Vendors Do I Hire First?

Congratulations! You're engaged! This is such an exciting time for you and your future hubby. But maybe you're asking yourself, what do I do now? Where do I start? Well friend you came to the right place. Check out all the tips below to start planning your dream wedding.

My biggest advice is to start booking your core vendors first! So what the heck is a core vendor? Well, core vendors are also known as vendors who only take 1 wedding per day. Typically this will include your venue, planner, entertainment and photographer/videographer. It's important to do this first because these vendors are the ones that book the quickest due to only accepting one event a day. If there is a specific vendor that you would like to work with definitely reach out to them as soon as you can. It is never too early to book a vendor!

That being said, you should sit down with your fiance and discuss a realistic budget for your wedding. Also, include any family members that may also be contributing to your budget. I would say to do this before booking any of your core vendors. You want to know exactly how much you are willing to spend on each aspect of your wedding. You don't want to start looking at venues that are ultimately out of your budget and then be completely disappointed in the end.

Begin thinking about the style of your wedding! You may have already started a Pinterest board, but if you haven't this would be a great time to do so.

Lastly, start creating a guest list so you can decide how big you want your wedding to be. For this step, don't forget to keep your budget in mind. You may have a guest list with 150 people, but if that doesn't make sense with your budget then you may have to start reducing the guest list size.

I hope these were all helpful recommendations to begin planning your gorgeous wedding.
